Ranbir Kapoor ke PREM KI GAJAB KAHANI has saas bahu twist, Katrina Kaif exonerated!!

Ranbir Kapoor, the latest heartthrob of bollywood who plays lead in upcoming flick ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani’ opposite sizzling hot Katrina Kaif and recently split with girlfriend Deepika Padukone, had a saas bahu twist in his love story.

The buzz doing the rounds in the industry is that Ranbir Kapoor’s mother Neetu Singh was never enamored of the outgoing ways of gorgeous Deepika Padukone from the very beginning. In fact, sources say that Neetu Kapoor had already seen the future of this relationship when she opined that Deepika Padukone was only one of several girlfriends of Ranbir Kapoor.

In fact, Neetu Singh had gone on to add that her son Ranbir Kapoor was too young to think about marriage at that stage of his budding bollywood career. But at that time, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were so much into each other that everybody thought that to be just an expression of concern from a mother (much like Shekhar Suman had expressed his apprehensions about Adhyayan and Kangana Ranaut relationship).

The grapevine has it that Ranbir Kapoor’s mother Neetu Singh’s ideal of a bahu for her son was more of someone like Sonam Kapoor than Deepika Padukone, who already had several relationships(with Nahar Pandya, Upen Patel, Yuvraaj Singh etc). She never trusted Deepika Padukone to be her bahu, though she never said it openly.

The conservative nature of renowned Kapoor Khandan is also revealed from the fact that before Karisma burst on the bollywood scene; girls were discreetly kept away from the tinsel town, while sons were allowed all kind of freedom. No, Kapoor bahu, including Neetu Singh had ever been allowed to work in films after marriage, though the rule had the force of a tradition than anything else.

And Deepika Padukone could never be expected to follow these rules of Kapoor Khandan. Deepika is a modern outgoing girl who loves to party and enjoys the company of her male friends, though she tried to end that under pressure from Ranbir Kapoor.

The Katrina Kaif factor during the shooting of Rajkumar Santoshi’s flick ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani’ only acted as a catalyst to the whole affair. It’s a different matter that Deepika felt terribly insecure about Katrina and had even camped in Bhopal for two weeks where Ranbir and Katrina were shooting for Prakash Jha’s upcoming flick ‘Rajneeti’.

However, by all indications Katrina Kaif is very much with Salman Khan and not with Ranbir Kapoor, and so she might not have caused the split between Ranbir and Deepika. The on –going of talk of crackling chemistry between Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif seems to be more between their characters of Prem and Jenny in ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani’.
